So, there are 3 cars in my larger shop that I keep covered when parked, just the light cotton covers like Calif Car Cover used to sell.
Pretty much like a T-shirt for a car, but they don't scratch paint, are washable, and keep dust off.
Have 2 light blue ones and 2 light green ones. I'd prefer to have 3 of the same color.
Looking for another light blue one and they don't seem available.
Lots of $200+ stuff but only in grey or tan, and I don't want to go nuts on this. (More nuts, if I'm honest. laugh2)
Anybody seen anything - or have anything - like my existing covers ?
I've found nothing on the interwebs...

I have a Cover Craft indoor one on my car that is indoor only. They have a discount store that sells old models and overruns. I did not do well email them so did it the old way I picked up the phone and called. Gut was super cool he looked up Ply-Duster and says oh that's the size we need and looked fir something that long.
They had a special run on indoor covers and had extra material left over so ran some common sizes. Just so happens they had just what I needed at 1/3rd the cost but is a color they normally do not use like I care
It is a nice color for me and works 100%
And fits like a glove only thing it does not have is the mirror pockets

I'm down to one good cover that's close to 20 years old and starting to tear a bit. The rest of the ones I use ones I bought on sale for around $30. They only go on the cars when they are parked for months at a time.

The biggest problem with outdoor covers is the material goes to crap and starts leaving a powder all over the car. This is no matter who makes them as they all buy the same material to sew them up.
Indoor covers do not. so got the right thing for once.
I do put an old E Body outdoor over it if it needs to be outside. And just cover it with 2.

I dont understand that, ive 4 outdoor covers Ive had and used indoors for 20 years and they are like new.

The one in the pics above I posted is 18 years old and its a outdoor only used indoors.

Maybe its environment, humidity level?

Years ago I had a really nice heavy duty outdoor cover. Never again. It left print patterns in the paint that apparently had not completely hardened. Even worse, the humidity got underneath it and when it heated up, well, let's say I found rust in the most interesting places. Basically the cover was a huge oven. I would use a light indoor cover just to keep the dust off, but hey, right now with the bodies of my car dust is the least of my issues smirk

both Cover Craft and Cali told me that the Evolution material brakes down. It is one of the layers. Could, also be that we use them in and out as well.

I had one of the evolution covers that bought back in 94 for My charger that was just an old car back then. In 94 we moved to Ne and it became a garage queen next to my 38. The 38's cover was probably bought around 1985 and was 100% Cotton. It's still hanging in there but about due for replacing.

I hated the evolution fabric, it always felt dirty and regardless how I tried to clean it it always felt the same. I tried the mega washers at the local laundromat, even tried washing it multiple times without soap on the last wash. Dry cleaners wouldn't touch it>
100% Cotton for me twocents beer

A friend of mine had a cloth cover that looked like his wife made it out of bed sheets. I think he actually said once that's what it was. I think he used to use it for storage inside but he also used it to cover his daily driver car outside after he washed it until he used it again.

I've never had a problem with covers breaking down leaving crap on the cars or trapping moisture.

I do not think the colour of the car cover is important because the most important thing is that the cover should protect your car from threats. For a long time, I thought car covers were a waste of money. But after reading about car auto covers benefits, I decided to buy an inexpensive cover for my car. I absolutely did not regret the money spent since now my car is reliably protected from rain and hail. I especially like that cover protects your car from ultraviolet rays. Ultraviolet rays damage the paint of the car.
