Just curious, I didn't see any on the internet, but does anyone make sliders for a A body mopar the will bolt on to the stock rear shackle mounting holes?

Thanks
Scott

Any of the kits I have seen are welded to the rail.

Calvert makes sliders that might be able to be bolted on to the rear longitudinal, at least they have holes in them.

However I think I would want them welded.

If I ever go sliders there will be a plate welded to the frame with the sliders bolted to it.

A friend did this on his altered wheelbase car and it works great.

was just out there looking under the car, the tech from calvert said weld them to the frame rail, can't do that my springs are in stock location. Looks like I would need to weld a plate to the frame rail and the box that the original rear shackle mounts to along with a gusset.

my car 1.76 sixty foots with the caltracs and i need to dial them in, just didn't know if the sliders were worth the effort, was hoping to find something that was already prefabbed for them

While I am sure there are folks that use the Calvert sliders on the street, Calvert does not recommend that.

Sliders won't be a fix all for your 60 ft.

I run poly bushings in stock shackles and the car has been 1.37 60 ft.

I learned that I have them completely loaded backwards. I have preload on the passenger side and none on the drivers side. Have also read where people are running a nickel wide gap with no preload.

I footbrake my car.

This

Make sure your front pivot is loose and moves freely too.

I've seen guys that have issues with Cal-Tracs having stuff too tight and it binds. I also have the solid front aluminum bushings in the spring eye.

so where the bolt goes through the front eye should not be tightened by king kong, And then the other pivot point.

I am notorious for doing that. I don't recall a torque spec on that.

I also have the aluminum eye in there and put anti seize on it.

Everything should be free'd up and articulate easily. We use locking nuts on the front hardware so there is no "torque spec".

when using solid bushings or solid heims, tighten up until there is no slop, then "maybe" 1/4 turn [?] using a quality locking nut.
that will depend on your preference of the feel of movement without drag or slop.
a liberal amount of anti-seize [without slobbering it everywhere] should be used on the bolt and bushing as well.

My street/strip bracket cars 60-s in the high 1.30s and I wanted to keep a oem look.

I built boxes out of smaller 2x2 square stock and welded to frame where shackle mount would of been bolted.

You could easily make a 1 inch spacer vs my 4 inch and weld slider to spacer and already have your "spacer" fabded and drilled to your shackle mount pattern, and bolt them on.

These have worked flawless for 16 years.

Sliders won't be a fix all for your 60 ft. True, but sliders and good double adjustable shocks mounted vertically do a good bit.

I ordered the A body spring relocation kit from Mancini and I will use the piece that goes in the front frame rail as the piece the slider will bolt to. I ordered a piece that was recommended on FORABODIESONLY but I haven't received it, not have the sent it. They have my order as pending. It was a body to frame mounting bracket for a FJ40 toyota land cruiser.
