But broke a piston, if you're gonna take them out to ring gap them, just replace them.

That misses the point of what they're trying to do, test the limits of a stock engine with just minor changes to things like ring gap. They did the same thing to an LS and and got somewhere around 1500 HP, I believe.

True and note he said it would have made more with twins and a bigger intercooler
