I think the California origin explains the air cleaner, anti noise IIRC.

I believe that air cleaner is correct for the AC cars.

That's how my brother's GTX was equipped, A/C and non silenced. I tried to get it to start at 62 seconds, didn't work.

I used to own a 1969 GTX with factory air.
Car had the silenced air cleaner like in the video
It was a federal emissions car and was apart when I got it so I cant say with 100% certainty if it was OE correct or not. But would bet it was.

Im thinking the dual snorkel air cleaner is correct for California cars regardless of with or without air

BUT,,,I dont see the N95 code on this cars tag. So me thinks its not a CA car originally ?
And IMO the air cleaner wouldn't stop me from buying at all. even at the price point I mentioned .

Wouldn't the LA build give it that aircleaner and the lack of exhaust tips?

Great video, it's refreshing to see one of these cars being driven like that. Thanks for posting.

Back when Motortrend TV was SpeedTV they played Bud's test drives every morning at 8am and I recorded the Mopar ones. I'd watch some of them over and over. So entertaining. This one got many viewings by me, and the blue '71 Charger 440 I remember very well too.

Facts are stubborn things.

I like that one and the hemi charger 500 one a lot. Guy kept jerking it in low Taking off and was almost drifting it around the corners.

Forever in debt to your priceless advice...

That car is local to me. It's a beautiful car all legit . It was a former California black plate car, its even nicer in person.

This car has been relisted a couple times.
Just ended again. Most recently at $52k

With no sale again.

Out of curiosity....anyone dare take a guess what todays world value is .
I cant imagine 52 is far off.

I agree in todays market I think 52K is a strong offer.
Its a very nice car, but I have not seen Auto 69 GTX's go for more than that.

When the car was 1st listed at low 60s I thought no way. But that dropped to upper 50s pretty quick. And I thought to myself high 40s to MAYBE a low 50s price the car would move.

A considerable better worded listing with more photos would help Im sure

If it were mine I wouldn't go any lower than 50 . I would just sit back and wait till the right buyer sees it

I know I like it, I like it a lot .
About the only thing I would like to have on it would be power windows and AM/FM radio

The only problem ' if you can call it that' is at 50K and up range your options / choices open up dramatically

I know this car very well. I actually assisted the current buyer in purchasing it a few years ago. Pictures do not do it justice, great car. The current owner put a bunch of money into after purchasing it to improve upon it. The previous restoration on this car cost way more than the asking price! All original sheet metal #s car- California black plate. A great car for the current price IMO. Current owner is an older gentleman 75 yrs old, not savvy with computers etc.
