Do you mean a driver's license or that the machine be licensed? Here in Illinois ANYTHING that is powered and used on public roads as transportation requires both.

Doesn't change the requirements here in Illinois. 25MPH or 80MPH, it's all the same here. Not here, stock e-bikes are the same as bicycles. Mind you most are bicycles with a motor, battery and pedal assist or full assist but they are capped at 20/25mph and look like this ![[Linked Image]](https://pedegoelectricbikes.ca/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/pedego-trail-tracker-5.jpg) The 80mph Sur-ron X bikes above are half dirt bike, but they fall under the same rules, just don't try to ride it 50mph down the town walking / bike path lol

Probably the same people who paid 3 times sticker for the 1st SRT Challengers or 1st Vipers , or 1st Prowlers. Look ao how those deals worked out for them.
Saw a low mileage 2008 SRT challenger a few days ago. was asking less then 25k for it
.
How bout that depreciation on an SRT-10 Ram?
