Fresh rebuild?. They can be tight, but that seems excessive. Trans. car details? New problem or 1st you noticed? Seized rear support....?

Something is amiss, I fear All the good race 727 I've owned and race would push backwards harder than forward but none of them did what your talking labout It is talking to you, now is the time to find out what it is causing that

It's normal for the car to push harder backward than forward but hard to push in both directions points to tight clutch/band clearances. This won't noticeably effect the operation of the trans.

yes i checked it with the drive shaft out . the trans works great but i guess i just noticed it was hard to push with just me pushing it by hand thanks
