When it comes to electrical I am lost like a ball in the tall weeds. I can follow most wiring diagrams and connections but this one for the convertible top switch wiring has me at a loss.

Refer to the photos. The diagram shows a shows a single line T1 (which is supposed to be a red wire) going to the "cowl circuit breaker" but I don't know what that is or where it is located. The wiring harness has has a short red wire with a tracer that attaches to the top switch and a slightly longer red wire with a tracer that attaches to the circuit breaker. Can someone tell me where the longer red tracer wire attaches? Would it be to the back of the instrument cluster as it is not loner enough to go to the cowl?

Thanks for your help.

Well the service manual is not very clear but my best guess is that it is the feed for the cowl circuit breaker that feeds the convertible top circuit. The red should be on the load side of the breaker.

But it is an educated guess only.

Can't say for sure but I'm going to guess the longer wire likely goes to the Breaker that is normally mounted directly to the amp gauge. I know they did this same routine on other cars with high draw acc. that required power without the key being on twocents beer

The circuit breaker is attached to the top switch. There is a jumper from the breaker to the ammeter to supply the power.

Okay/ That makes sense now. I can see the circuit breaker attached to the switch and see the connection at the ammeter.

Thanks for all of your help.
