There's nothing like original, even if a little rough. Absolutely nothing. I love it.

I have to admit. I am tempted to bid on this.

I really like it - could be the perfect car to just clean it & enjoy it.

I like those cars. Wish it had the bumper guards and the black hood paint option

Why did Mopar do such weird things with disc brakes? Discs standard on this thing, but not with a Hemi, and not included with anything other than the 4:10 Dana option on those cars. Discs standard on what, the 70 or 71 Duster 340, but not on the other year? No discs at all on A12 cars? It just seems odd and inconsistent.

Earning every penny of that moderator paycheck.

Drum brakes on a bodies are kinda smallish so maybe they figured the 340 was enough to require them?

Maybe because it kept the cost down on a hemi car that was going to be more expensive optioned with that engine?

I have had a itch for a 70 340 Swinger since I was in high school. A guy who lived a stone throw from me back then, had two of them in his driveway. A Top Banana and a Sublime one.
This one here is just how I like them.
- High impact color,
- Bench seat with 4 speed,
- No hood blackout,
- No vinyl top,
- No rear spoiler.

On another note, That MC looks like one for drum brakes.

Couple things:

I work for the dealer that sold it new and I was one of (if not THE) the first to look at it in "barn find" condition, and I have a few pics.

We still have the original invoice and sales receipt, original owner's widow was given photocopies if i recall correctly

Car is in great shape but was stored in a dirt floor shed and undercarriage (while still pretty good) doesn't present as clean as the top side, decent amount of surface rust

Car appeared to be all original including paint etc but we figured from the start that the odometer had rolled over, i have no proof either way

I did not check engine or trans numbers

I pray they didn't remove the label on the dash, made with a cheap 70's label maker. that said "ROAD HOG"

not trying to discount the car as i would love to own it, just being honest

Flame On

The good news is, the car is otherwise what it appears to be, it’s absolutely a very cool, very well surviving 70 swinger 4 Speed EV2 340 car with fresh air hood that was sold new at Nemaha Valley Motors to Russel Tinklin and his widow did sell it circa 2006 out of the shed I pictured it in and I do wish I’d been in a position to buy it then. It’s a very cool car and I wish the seller good luck with sale.

EDIT forgot to mention the 1 of 1 claim on eBay. It may be 1 of 1 currently known or surviving but we have documentation of a car we ordered before this one, line for line identical to this car, but the sales ledger says “diverted-car crashed” and this car was ordered to replace it with the only invoice difference being this car had the “sold order” line at the bottom. If anything, this probably adds to the story but I can absolutely prove it.

This Dart is optioned very similar to mine. The only differences are my fender tag shows the G33 (remote LH mirror) and M26 (wheel lip moldings) options. All other options are the same.

Looks like it came with full wheel covers and not ralleys?
