Just want to make sure, the metal axle seal, the raised rib part Faces inward?

Thanks John, I meant the thin metal gasket that goes on the outside of the axle, over the five studs. It has a raised rib around it on the inner circle, just don't know if it faces towards the axle or towards the backing plate.

If you mean the embossed steel gasket that goes between the housing and the backing plate, it doesn't matter.

Dr. Diff told me the embossed raised rib goes towards the axle when I did mine.
