Where can you buy good units? Seems like ones that have "Chrysler" on them have about a 50% failure rate.
Aftermarket or ???
thanks

I have been using the blue one out of JEGS. This is also the one that Ehrenberg pushes on his e-bay store. I like it. Have used it on three cars now, I think it is better than the orange box at start and idle. Have had no problems with it.
I mounted one behind the front passenger headlight on my Charger, worried about heat. But the other two have been on the firewall and have done fine.
You do need a ballast with it. I also run an Accel 8140 coil (repainted black) which seems like a good match for it.
Note...this is a street driven car

Problem is the original power transistor and quality substitutes went out of production and the redesign isn't as robust.
What year / timeframe did that happen?

has been told the Standard LX101 gets a good rate of use without failures
on the Hi-Rev 7500 box I have got splitted experiences. Is my spare one. I used for a week before get the Rev-N-Nator, but a friend of mine got it and last long 3 or 4 months.

What about trying the Rev-n-nator orange box? If you can find one of these, get one! Works great in my car...no problems at all, and has adjustable rpm rev limit as well. I use the MSD Blaster 2 coil and 4 pin ballast.
