So I am curious. To all those that attended Carlisle this year. Did you or anyone in your group end up with the virus? I am really not trying to start a big debate on the virus and have this get all out of hand and turn into a bunch of BS. My wife and I and all those that I know that attended did not end up with it. Your results may have varied, I hope not but I'm just wondering. So keep it clean and civil and post your results. drinking

No...But I was smart about it using my mask heading into large gatherings...And pulling it down when not around anyone to catch a breather when I could...I noticed quite a few people with no mask in sight...So your question is warranted...

Our group (two couples from two different states) are fine right now. We enjoyed a great break from regular life to be around awesome cars and their admirers. Picked up some cool stuff, too.
I hope this is the case for everyone who attended.

Of the 14 or so in our group everyone is still healthy. We all wore masks when needed and did the social distance thing. To me it was good mentally to take a few days off and enjoy some car related stuff even if we had to "mask up" when near crowds or going into public spaces (Walmart, Sheetz, etc...).

Well, to keep it factual, a better question, did anybody who attended, or cohabitates with someone who did, get a positive COVID test days after Carlisle?

Everything else, is GIGO, and even the current tests are not 100% accurate , before someone feels the need to make that point. eyes

I suspect based on the reporting on this question, and the reluctance of those who might be sick, the results here might only be as valid as the Florida reported infection rates. laugh2

Never touched a mask at the show except for going into the Carlisle store to buy the 2020 van diecast, wore one at Walmart and a bar I went to they required it when walking in the door but not afterwards. I feel the same as normal, but that doesn't necessarily tell me anything... realcrazy

I was there three days, no mask. Mingled with thousands wearing no mask. Everyone is fine. .

I had guests at the house from multiple states.

I talked with hundreds of people at the show.

No health issues to report.

Zero. Zip. Nada.

For those that missed the show, we had a great time and we hope to see you next year. beer

I was alone at the show. Talked to many customers and browsers at my stand. No mask. I'm doing fine. So are my wife and son.

Bottom line, nobody gives a crap whether anybody else feels "normal" attending Carlisle and not wearing a mask vs the usefulness of those feeling not "normal". Only person that does, is oneself. Typical "its all about me" sign of the times. Excluding the even hint of humility that one feels "normal" they might just be very lucky or asymptomatic, not overlooking the fact we are approaching in the US nearly 150,000 dead. Carlisle must be a real fountain of health, not one reported headache, sore back, fever, cough, sore throat in the whole bunch. Wonder if the reporting of not "normal" here is a similar timeline to member "Feets" disclosing his COVID diagnosis awhile back?

Remember in the early days of the Covid they said that heat would kill the virus, it was brutal on Thursday in Carlisle so it must have all died, of course they walked back on that not too long after they said it. There is no concrete definition of this virus, and if there was then they would just re-engineer it... work

The wife and I were selling at my vendor's spot all weekend without a mask. I tried to keep a little distance from lookers any buyers when able, but you can't exchange money from a distance.
My wife works in health care and has to be tested weekly. All her tests including the last two since Carlisle have been negative.

Regarding "they", freedom of speech applies, we best choose wisely who the "they"'s are we listen to. And living in Florida, that "heat" thing stunk from the get go.
