Nice wide brand new fresh concrete on a by pass around SW Casper.... personally I’m impressed that the local powers allowed it to be blocked off for filming. Of course in northern tier fashion the concrete is not smooth. It was “raked” for moisture drain off, but I’m sure they got rubber down on it regardless. They’ve been filming there for a number of weeks now.

Beat me to it Justin.
Horrible accidents and after seeing this we bowed out of another deal they may have going in a couple of weeks. These cars are TOO FAST to be out on the street. When the street stuff started it was a lot more sane with what they were running back then. Now it's just getting too dangerous.

The word on the plains of Wyoming is bird man got loose after the race was over, drifted to the right side(he was in the left lane) ran off the road tried to save it over corrected and all broke loose.

The other “on the plains” news is that there will be a “cash” days race starting the first of next week in Casper, Wy. It will be held on a different road in the Casper are.

Who would have ever thought that this type of racing would have even come close to the great outdoors of Wyoming. Cudos to the people that made it happen as well as the state officials that allowed it to happen.

The racers rented the old Douglas Motorsports Park track for some testing and tuning. With the proceeds from the track rental, the central Wyoming motorsports were able to purchase 1400’ of jersey barrier that was needed for the track to move forward. Thank you to all the rented the track.

The last night of filming for the street outlaws is scheduled for Thursday.

Are they looking to reopen the Douglas track or are you speaking of a different track? My brother inlaw called when they were test and tuning, it surprised the locals.

I had a FB friend from western SoDak post up a link to a couple events that they’ve had at Douglas. There’s actually a few more races scheduled. Thinks it’s 1/8th mile now as there’s a new building on the top end that impeded the 1/4 shutdown area. Either way, good to see something back in that area.

It is open on a trial basis. The people that are running it we’re trying to get a track in Casper but that went south fast. The think that the city of Douglas invited the new people to a counsel meeting. The meeting went well. The track is lightly prepped. I’m not sure what they are doing about a timing system.

As mentioned it is 1/8 mile. The new jail was built over a year ago. It is at the end of the track. They have at least two more races scheduled this summer. The track needs a LOT of work. Really don’t see it going much farther.

I did here that there was nearly 200 cars last weekend and almost 2000 people. Sounds exaggerated to me.

Run what you brung. Trucks, passenger cars, race cars, motorcycles.

Looks like Kamikaze CHRIS now has totaled the Elco, but he is okay. I'd hate to say it, but it's just a matter of time before one of these guys ends up not being able to walk away from one of these things.

I saw another picture of it. It's junk from the windshield forward. Said he hit a parked car and some concrete barriers.
