I had a friend recommend using a set of Speedmaster or Pro Maxx heads on a small stroker pump gas 360 L.A. motor I'm going to build later this year. Anyone on here use them, either brand? If so what did you think of them and how did they work? All comments welcomed, good or bad I'm thinking of buying a set of their fully CNC complete heads Thanks in advance

Buy the Cnc version bare...and buy your favorite valves and springs....take them your favorite machine shop and have the valve job done. I have two set in use....one set ported by hand by IMM in Indio Ca......that 71 360 Dart has run 10.50s in Vegas air.... Second set on 75 duster ....bought them bare ....and did as i said above...car runs great for the throw together motor that is in.. just had another set ported by someone who a specialist doing Nhra stock/super stocker heads and engine ...these were the 1st set he had seen and gave them great reviews... and the flow data is pretty much the same as the ones done by IMM... I would bet that they are cast at the same foundry in china.....dont see multi foundries casting mopar aluminum heads.... https://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/threads/speedmaster-head-thread-index.451807/sticky thread on all the speed master heads post....

It would seem to me the CNC ported SBM ProMaxx Head would be a tough sell.
Both equipped with HR spring packages...... the TF head is actually a little cheaper than the PM Shocker 185.

The ProMaxx did go on sale a while ago for a time, and it would make that decision harder if you were on a tight budget. In my case, I could get my 171's upgraded to the Shocker level and the total would still be quite a bit under the retail of the 185's. I'm still a long way from that happening though.
