HOW extensive is it ? ... does it cover FLAT REPAIR ?

I seemed to have picked up a slow leak puncture in the passenger rear tire ..proper fix ? ... is an inside patch ?

Tires aren't usually covered under the normal warranty so I highly doubt "flat repairs" would be either. I had out of balance tires on my 14 Ram with only 14K miles and it wasn't covered under warranty.

I do not believe the warranty will cover tires . The best fix is a patch/plug .( patch plug all in one ) . Do note that the tire will no longer be speed rated . The best fix if you are planning on setting any land speed records is a new tire . If it were mine ,and a repairable puncture , I would get that fix .

They usually try to peddle you a tire and wheel warranty at the dealer when you buy a new car.
Bumper to bumper warranties don’t cover wear items like tires, brakes and windshield wiper blades.

Interesting Ms ... I did a short financing situation where they doubled the b2b ... I’ll have to check.

But my FIRST AND ONLY dealership experience was not very positive tsk

My only 2 new car purchases the Dodge dealer finance guys pushed me relentlessly to try to get me to buy aftermarket extended warranties, tire and wheel warranties, and paint protection/fabric protection warranties. Those guys won't give up trying to squeeze every last dollar out of the pockets of suckers who dare try to buy a car from them. mad

A repair is only as good as the materials and workmanship . A patch is considered better than a plug, but leaves the hole open , and moisture can get in between the plies and cause separations and problems over time, also you get get problems with separation with plugs . Popping out is just a bad job , and has been known to happen . A patch plug will seal the liner from the inside , and fill the hole to keep moisture out .

We bought the Mopar extended warranties on the last 4 vehicles we owned. I've had wheel bearings, intake manifold, radiator, rear hatch motor, starter, and a few other things replaced under the warranties. $100 deductible. Can't buy the parts for that price. As far as the tires, they are not covered. However, I have bought several tires at Discount Tire over the years and they patched a hole the wife had in her tire once. It was the original tire and not bought from them. They did it at no cost.

To install a plug you use a tire tool to ram in and out of the hole several times and probably cut a couple of the steel belts doing so.

Patch is just more rubber and glue applied to the inside of the tire. Which would you want?
