Looking at dipping my toes into the hemi swap world. Starting from scratch, where would you folks point me. Tips on what to look for when buying a used hemi. Easiest to swap? This will probably be going into my d150. What pitfalls to avoid. I've seen all of the wares that holley has to offer, as well as mega squirt. Easier to buy a donor vehicle? I'm tired of looking at all the LS swapped crap around. Thanks for your insight.

I'm certainly not the best person to ask considering my car isn't running yet but for the sake of conversation starting...I think the first "Y" in the road is determining how you want your induction system designed...ie carburetor, TB FI, or MPI. This will determine if buying a donor car is the easiest route vs. buying components individually. If you go carburetion, you'll end up with a lot of parts from the donor you likely won't need.

I have a buddy that is installing a 5.7 in his son's challenger project, he is using the mopar performance harness and computer for simplicity. I think that there may be better options out there.

Is a pre eagle 5.7 worth buying?

Check out Dylan McCool's YouTube channel. He's doing a Challenger build/resurrection with a 5.7 that is stone stock. Holley sent him one of their new swap ECU kits for it.
