I pulled this driveshaft from my AAR that had a 4 speed in it ( orig auto ) and it never crossed my mind that it wasn't orig , but after research the 70 Cuda is supposed to be 43.60'' long for auto and 8 3/4 rear . This shaft is 44.25 " and has a swedge at both ends where the orig is supposed to be swedged at the back only . I can't find this length in the 1962-1974 part and casting book . So what does it belong to ????? The casting # below the u-joint is 2789128 which I believe could be on a lot of driveshafts as this is not the part number but casting number of the end , not the tube , ???? The tube middle diameter is 3.25''
