Does anyone make an engine cradle for a 426 Hemi?
My motor is ready for the Dyno and I just realized I have no way of getting it there since the KB blocks only have the Hemi motor mounts.
I've look at Mancini, Allstar, Jegs and Summit....

I've look at Mancini, Allstar, Jegs and Summit.... I BOUGHT A SUMMIT ONE FOR A wedge, then cut off the front mounts and welded on flat stock. Drilled holes and that's it

Coming up with Zero. I found this on eBay so I'll give this guy a try, he already said he can build one and ship it tomorrow with some modifications. I could modify one I have but I just don't have time at the moment. Hemi engine cradleI wished you were still making those Andy... Cab, I have a few of those but they don't attach to the motor, just sit so for around the shop they work but in the back of the truck I like them to be bolted together.

I use 3.5 inch long wood screws to hold mine together I had to make several of them (6) with wheels when we moved from SO CA up here to Bend, they all held up well. I recycle our old facial boards off of our house down there, 2x8. I tied them down to in floor tie downs for the car straps in my car trailer, it was a little over 850 miles one way I did use one piece of plywood on one of them on the bottom due to running out of the 2x8 boards, all the rest had longer front and rear boards to help make sure they wouldn't tip over When I haul them in the truck I tie them down around the front and preload the back against the tail gate, 2006 ram 3500. No wheelies or sudden stop though

Chuck Lofgren was having them made somewhere. I'm not sure if he still is, you could give him a call. (763) 753-7573

We have always just built out own out of 1x1 square tubing. Usually use the motor plate as a front mount since many have accessories attached to them and they have mounting holes already

Looks good, that design is much heavier than that ones I used to build. I did use larger casters on mine. I always put 5 inch casters on my cradles so they would roll really nice.

A $10.99 harbor freight furniture dolly (1,000 lb. capacity) and some scrap wood screwed to it works for me. Have several complete engines in the shop on them so I can move them around easily. They don't roll real good, but good enough.
