Many of the parts stores have scan tools that can pull ABS codes. Have them pull the code and see if you can get them to clear it. It may clear and that be the end of it. Otherwise, you have the code to direct you to the problem area.

On my caravans, it was usually the wheel sensor. Recently had to change the front driver side sensor on my 2005 Grand Caravan as it was intermittent. Found that the gear wheel has rusted and expanded causing the sensor to rub and fail. My buddy found it with his scanner. But I did have the ABS brain go bad in the 2005 years ago. Again my buddy's scanner found the problem. $50 junk yard replacement fixed it.

Does a particular name brand parts store officially use a name brand manufacturers Scan Tool advanced enough that its software can read Mopar ABS codes? I did the ignition key on-off-on-off-on and the digital odometer read P0441 - done which is the famous “loose gas cap or Natural Vacuum Leak Detector (NVLD system” Diagnostic Trouble Code I then plugged in a OBD-II Superchips Tuner for a Ram pickup that can also read and reset DTC’s and it also displayed the one P0441 only.

I read on another forum that there is a frame rail mounted front-driver-side wire bundle that contains an ABS wire pair near the wheel that can suffer from wheel debris and water spray. A T&C van owner said he bought a “Mopar Wire Pigtail Repair Kit” to repair his corroded connection.

Did it stay on ? if not it sounds like its doing its job.
The yellow ABS light has steadily stayed on, never going off even for a short time, despite an OBD-II DTC “reset codes” command, and removing the negative battery cable for one hour. When the battery cable was reconnected and the van restarted the yellow ABS light was on even before the van was put in gear and moved.

The ABS system doesn't talk through the OBD stuff as far as I know. I know when I had a problem with my 97 Jeep Cherokee I tried to have a friend at a firestone scan it and they said only a dealer could do that.
You might remove the battery cables for a few minutes and try again?

Our local O'reilly's scan tool is ABS capable. Common ABS codes can usually be pulled with a scan tool that can do ABS. ABS is separate from OBD because they are 2 different computers in the car. But ABS doesn't usually take a trip to the dealer to diagnose. Just ask at any of your local parts stores. Not a big deal IF the counter monkey has any idea how to use scan tool.

Have now travelled over 150 miles and the ABS light has stayed off. That's what mine would do and it was the wheel sensors. Sometimes the gap gets too wide also. I expect it to come back on.

are the tone wheels rusty ? i have seen rust flakes come off of them and stick to the magnets on the sensors. after cleaning the sensors of particles, and wire brushing the tone wheels of loose stuff, all is well afterward. just something you could look for. glad it seems fixed for now.
