I am looking for a new master cly for a 70 b body with powers discs. I am looking for the tall one with the lines that exit on the fender side. They would be found on most hemi cars and some Superbirds. I have bought these before I have also bought the ones for the wedge motors with the lines exiting on the engine side. I have ordered three master cly so far from Rock auto and Napa and have received the casting with old universal core that has the provisions for the exits on BOTH sides. It just does not look right and is not acceptable on this restoration. Does anyone know of a reliable source that has the correct looking master cly? All of the sources I bought from showed the correct master cly in the picture but sent this stupid looking universal core. I’m not sure if I ordered the master for the wedge engine now if it would come with the same stupid core. Anyone ordered on in the last few months.

2014 is the problem. I’ve bought one then as well. this is a recent change. I just ordered a new and rebuilt ones from O’riellys. Well see. The new Centric I ordered from rock auto were the 4 outlet type.

Is this for a hemi, or just going with outside lines?
A recent search show that this is available and looks like only left side port.

Just check and still have a New Old Stock Cast 2225621 Bendix Left Port for Disc Brake. This is original Bendix.
Generic warning Cap with gasket
This was a Year One Product, still in box New condition. PM me if you want it.

If you want to get technical, the MC with casting number 2225621 is not OE correct for ‘70 PDB hemi cars. The correct MC had casting number 2229191. Good luck finding an aftermarket version of that!
The only cars that used the 2225621 casting number MC in 1970 were C bodies and manual disc brake B bodies (taxi cabs).

This is not a hemi car. I just happen to get new lines and they were shipped left side exit. I’ve got the lines installed and one of my spare oem Bendix masters installed as a loaner to the customer. Dragon, I’ll pm you about the part if O’riellys does not work out. This is a clone six pack car so numbers don’t matter, just looks. And yes, everyplace I’ve ordered from has the correct picture and it still comes in with 4 outlets. They look like one of those African Warthogs.

My 70RR is a 383 but had left exit lines when I bought it. Replaced all the front brakes and line and kept the original routing too. Had a Bendix that went bad. Too bad the more recent parts have gone completely generic. I have seen the dual exit MC. Not as bad as those GM set ups I see guys using:-( G

The problem is that most likely all the aftermarket companies are sourcing their parts from the same Chinese supplier. So if the supplier is using the generic casting with outlet bosses on both sides, that’s what you are going to get now unless you luck into some older stock.
Rebuilt might be a better bet, but even with that you run into the risk that many rebuilt master cylinders are bad right out of the box.

The 4 port models are C body, Bill already listed the correct # above Raybestos 36283, you can get one from Summit Racing under pn# agb-mc36283

..... PN# M1475 (Autozone) should yield you a master with the lines inboard facing the engine should you desire that?, B/RB "usually" had the lines inboard on the PDB set ups, HEMI was outboard/fenderside on PDB

I do a fair amount of wingcar conversions, my customers are always looking for these tall masters (inboard/outboard lines) when equipped with the Bendix Dual diaphram booster, I've given you my 2 sources for these.... hope this helps

Dan, I have considered cutting them off but this is a customers car that needs to look right and I have to charge him for the labor. It might heat the casting up too much. Idk. Dayclona, if you have a source for the proper looking one, you might need to buy some up. I have ordered a total of SEVEN master cly from FOUR four different sources from the same pictures you are showing and all of them have came in with the four outlet casting. I hope that is not going to be true for the wedge master with the engine exits as well. This is a 440 clone car so I may have to switch sides. It just that we already have the fender side lines on the car.

Standing by if you or anyone else needs an original Bendix USA made. This was used on 67 all engine B bodies, 68-69 Hemi B body, 69-70 C body. Power Disc brakes. 70 B used same MC type, except ports to engine side as discussed. Has box. 1 1/8" bore. Just in case someone sticks a mirror under the MC grin

MBM brakes and Pirate Jacks has reproduced these I believe. Don't know which actually is reproducing them.
