I sold this 62 savoy over 10 years ago, 90% finished, to a very nice gentleman in Pittsburgh. We've stayed in touch over the years and I know the car has been finished nicely and babied, and its seen very few miles and definitely never raced. I've had several cars since then, even ventured to the dark side on a couple of occasions, but always in the back of my mind dreamed of getting this Savoy back one day. The time has finally come, and we struck a deal to bring her back to Chi town! Some of you veteran Moparts guys may remember it ...

Here are a few pics of how far along I had the car before I sold it.

Anyhow, glad to be back and hope to get some track results posted soon! Ok, maybe I better pump the brakes here...but I will get some track times at some point, I swear!

Awesome car!

I'm a big fan of those '62's and would really like a '62 Savoy at some point.

Man - you scared the crap out of me ... my cruise buddy has a '62 Savoy and has been talking about selling it. He's located near Pittsburgh so I thought you were buying his car. It's super clean and very fast. Fortunately, we're talking about two different cars. My buddy "rickraw" posts here every so often. He's made many improvements to the car since he purchased it about 10 years ago. For pictures from back when he purchased it, check out: https://www.cars-on-line.com/gen3-cars/col1/posting/89895 Hard to believe there are two high-quality silver 1962 Plymouth Savoys in the Pittsburgh area!

By the looks, they’re either SR’s or -1’s.
Did I do a set of those for you?

Thanks guys. Zippy, it was a project of mine that I had going from about 2004-2009. I also had a 65 Coronet wagon which is probably what I mostly posted about during that time.

I love the 65 Wagon. I tried to track it down before I bought my 65 Coronet 440 but couldn't find it. I would love to track it down if I sale mine any time soon.

The wagon was up for sale not too long ago. I have no idea who owns it now, but it really is a cool street car.
