As many of you have known , I had a 1966 Plymouth Satellite with 3512 ACTUAL miles on it. I ordered it new--383-4 speed,3:23 Suregrip. AM radio, rear seat speaker, bumper guards, clock, padded sunvisors, wood wheel, tinted glass, heavy duty suspension package, PP1 Bright Red with a Black vinyl top. I did cry over selling it but it was time to let it go. I still have my 66 Hemi Belv 1 Clone , PCP Hellcat, 392 Scat Pack Shaker and 3 pickups. The new owner and I will not disclose price but we are both very happy with the deal. The car is in MINT condition. Still teary eyed.

I know how you feel. I just sold my 400EX 4-wheeler I bought new back in 2008. It was time but I'll miss it.
Sounds like you had a nice ride. Post up a pic.

That had to be a difficult decision but nothing lasts forever. Better to go to someone who really appreciates it now than some greedy flipper with an estate sale at some point years down the road.

Glad you were able to give it a home, hopefully they will enjoy it as much as you did. Since you still have a couple rides, at least you won’t be bored or too worried if anything should happen to them.

Out of curiosity, did you intend to keep it super low miles when you bought it? I know people squirrel cars away these days, hoping they'll be holding a future collectible. Was that any motivation, or did it happen some other unexpected way? No matter what, it sounds like a great car--condition and equipment-wise. I'm sure most of us would love to own it, even with double the miles! up

I thought I was doing pretty well with my '12 Challenger only having 37k on it, but I guess not. I know it won't be a collectible, but just driving it mostly on weekends keeps it fresh to me. I haven't gotten bored with it that way.

1968 Charger project. I don't have a fender tag or a buildsheet, so it's getting a 440. Help me decide on a color--most everything looks great! (NOT white. My Challenger is white. Need some variety :D)

Interesting story and I bet it was tough. I think it's great you found the new owner rather than fretting about what to do down the road.
I also though my 21k mile '68 and 51k '70 were low mile can't hold a candle to yours though. Are there photos on the car on this site?

A car like that has to be bittersweet. The low miles is what made it so special but enjoying the driving experience of a car like that detracts from it's value.
I guess that mainly matters only if you plan to sell it someday.

Sounds like a very cool Plymouth you bought brand new. The story of the ultra low mileage would very interesting to know.
Did you ever show it at Carlisle or Mopar Nats in the Survivors tents at all??

Wow, sounds like a really great car, and although I've never had anything to match that, I can feel your pain. It's a relief at the same time, I'm sure.
