Man I love to see this starting to happen. We all know some cheating has been done at "big money" events to give some an upper hand. I'm glad some Race Promoters are now admitting to this and HOPEFULLY are going after said cheaters. It's a tough enough game on a level playing field so lets weed out at least a few CHEATERS or at least have them double-thinking.

Polygraph, at a race track? You'll never see that, ever. The rules, sorta like a lock, they keep the honest people honest.

41 made the announcement last week that they will be checking No Box cars for boxes. I'm glad the promoters are going to be looking.

Saying it is one thing, doing something is a different story. It'll be interesting to see how or if it plays out. My guess is they may check a few random cars in good faith, but great passes are so common place now adays, it'll be hard to justify checking someone just because they won.

What is considered suspicious today is vastly different than what was considered suspicious in the early 90s, when those well known stories of devices and cheating began traveling around. Likely a heck of a lot harder to find things buried in one of these cars, and how many features come standard in off the shelf ignitions.

At our local track, its clear as day who runs a box in no box .. , lots of cheaters , nothing gets done about it

Put up some $ and call them out. If it's that obvious, don't wait for the track to do something, especially since it's your money. No point in complaining otherwise if it's actually occuring.

Our track is ran by someone that has owned and ran it for most of its 52 years in existence , he will do things as he likes , nothing is going to change and once he dies I'm sure the place will cease to exist , is now 87 years old ..

41 is mainly looking for guys leaving the box in when running both classes.

On occasion 66 used to stagger the yellows in Pro and Sportsman.

See this is my biggest beef with box and no box.

All the years we footbraked in NHRA division 1 you could tell if someone was 2 stepping and trans braking...Easy way to question the use of a box.

Does anyone make a JAMMING SYSTEM that screws up any E at the track ?

Don’t worry about it. We have several Moparts members that take out box cars every weekend. Some guys can’t leave off the top bulb and some guys can’t leave off the bottom build. I’ll tell you one thing, as a top bulb racer you better be ready because there isn’t any warning that top bulb is coming on.

The beatings I've been taking in No Box lately have me seriously thinking about just moving over to Box. I think the beatings will be less severe.
