Hello
how can I understand if the original headlights are still mounted on my 70 Cuda? Are there any markings that differentiate the late model General Electric headlights from the original? Have some old headlights in my garage and would like to understand if they are original. Thank you

What I've seen over the years are date stamps on backside of bulbs. Problem is the stamps are often very hard to read.

Those stamps can be washed off with soap and water, so be careful if you need to wash your bulbs.

Flutes are the "ribs" you see on the lens.
The earlier sealed beams on American cars had wider flutes than the later lamps.
Especially so way back in the 1920s-1930s.
I can't recall exactly, but I think in the mid- to late-1970s, the narrow flutes appeared.

What's the owners manual say?

Then you can look at the pdf and see what was likely.
