1957 Chrysler 300C. Fastest American production car in 1957 (I love telling the Chevy buffs that over two tons of Mopar iron could outrun a 'Vette in the quarter)

I have zero desire to add another car to the collection but if a really good deal on a nice wing car came my way I'd probably figure out how to make it happen. I had a chance to buy one years ago and didn't do it. I wish I would've bought one back in day. I just like them even though they are kind of nutty to drive on the street.

I had a NICE A66 4-speed 70 Challenger in the mid-90's. It was so nice and original the Mopar restorer i bought it off was apologizing it had "the wrong plug wires" on it. I was a punk ass, i didn't care. But the car was so nice i couldn't bring myself to modify it. Man i regret that. Drove it for a couple ov years without a single issue, then sold it like a dumbass for $4500. I see them in the same configuration/condition today for 30K. Even though i need a smaller car for my racing purposes (i bought a 68 AMX) i'd own that thing again in a [censored] second.

Ov course, at 30K, we're dreaming. So if we're dreaming, even though i'm a Challenger guy, i'll still go for my go-to since i was 8... a split-window Vette.

Well, it's not a Mopar, it's my dad's Jaguar. 1950 Mark V drophead coupe. So many childhood memories and adventures and family history intertwined with the history of this car. It's special to me...

Part of that history was dad having to sell the car when he got sick with Multiple Myeloma. Tough times taught me all about doing what you have to do to get by.

As a cheapskate, the price would have to be at a fire sale level for me to actually jump on them but two I've always wanted: 70 Road Runner, Lemon Twist, 440+6 Air grabber with a 4 speed, and a 69 Barracuda fastback Formula S with a 4 speed.

'67 is an abbreviation of 1967
67' is an abbreviation of 67 feet
They are not interchangeable.

Even if there was a such thing as a black Superbird, I would walk past it and buy a 2006 SRT 10 Regular Cab Ram in Flame Red. Supposedly, 6 made and I've been looking for one with a blank check ready for over 10 years: none have surfaced. I have an '07 with 9,000 miles on it, but it just isn't the same.

Only one I know of in Dodges' advertising:

For me, it would be a late 70s Plymouth Trailduster with a 440 and fulltime 4wd. In very nice shape, that would be hard to pass up.
I nearly got a Plymouth Trailduster 4x4 years ago, a friend had it for sale. Nice shape, good driver, nothing wrong with it, 360-2V, automatic, fulltime 4wd. White/red two tone. Removeable roof. 1978. Had it for sale around 1999/2000. He was asking $1,500, I offered $1,200. He declined. Went back one week later and he sold it for $1,100. frown

Big block Dodge and Plymouth 4x4s seem really under-appreciated, but maybe I'm not in the thick of that crowd. Great looking machines for sure...

When something that's on your bucket list presents itself at a price you can afford, the choice is simple. The unbeatable opportunities lie in private purchases. Those with a large network of friends in the hobby can have their bucket list cars show up any time.. and present itself privately at a price that simply can't be passed up, which would demand a purchase. I've lucked into most of the cars I own.

Alfa Romeo GT Junior Zagato
Maserati Khamsin
Lancia Gamma Coupe
One of the Beineke's Charger Dayclonas
70 Satellite convertible
68 Dart GTS convertible
66 Dodge Hemi Charger
Lamborghini Espada S1
Alfa Romeo SZ
Plymouth Superbird w440
Lancia Stratos Stradale
Iso Grifo Series 2
Alfa Romeo Touring Disco Volante.
Lamborghini Miura

The unicorns:
Monteverdi High Speed 375/L
Alfa Romeo TZ3

Fun to think about..

For me right now I'd buy a 2008 Dodge Magnum SRT in Flame Red.

1970 Sport Satellite: 383 Super Commando, column automatic, B5 Blue with blue cloth bench seat interior and black vinyl top. A friend at the time (when we were teenagers) had this exact car when we graduated high school. I wanted that car with a passion and told him so and to let me know when he decided to sell it. He didn't let me know and sold it to someone else. Only saw it once after that so I don't know what ever happened to it. I've been looking for that car or a car just like it for 45 years. Never found another but would still love to have one while I still have some time on this earth.

Since I don't have deep pockets, it would have to be something that really tickles my fancy but is not super popular/expensive.
I don't need perfect, just a nice example - Don't want a museum piece or a big project.
1. 1961-62 Dodge Lancer/Plymouth Valiant wagon.
2. Mopar hearse.
3. Mid-70s W100 short bed - SB and auto are fine.

Nope, Flame Red is a great, solid Red.
That's Inferno Red (metallic)
https://www.carsdirect.com/2006/dodge/ram-1500/colors

I just picked up a 2004 SLT in Flame Red. (needed a truck and this one fit the bill and was well priced).
