Can anyone post a side by side pic of an auto vs. manual trans cross member for a 69 B Body showing the difference?

This was a very long time ago but I remember changing a 1967 Plymouth Hemi car from a four speed to an automatic and I thought we used the same cross member and rear motor mount.

This was in the late sixties so no guarantees on my memory!

I believe only B Body differentiates between auto and 4 speed in those years Auto and 3 speed manual are the same for all. So C body 4 speed and auto and 3 speed manual are all the same.

I used an auto cross member in a 69 with a 4 speed, but the box had the later tail shaft. No mods needed

So, the mount in the cross member is about 4 inches behind where it bolts to the trans. ? I'm working on my first, factory 440, 4speed CBody

The crossmember is the same but the insulators are different. I don't know about 66-68, but my 65 C Body also uses the same crossmember for auto and 4 speed (but it is a one year only crossmember) and the insulator is quite wide. One application faces towards the rear and the other faces toward the front - don't remember which way the auto faces versus the 4 speed. The insulators are different because the angle must be reversed otherwise in 65 they look identical.

My 68 charger r/t 4 speed and 68 r/t auto cross members are different, exactly like in the pics above. The 4speed one does not protrude out like the auto. Just a folded lip. This is for 68.

Thanks.

Sorry no pics, but IIRC the 71-2 B body uses the same crossmember auto or 4spd, much like the 70-4 E body does
