2015 Grand Cherokee has Goodyear Wrangler sr-a P265/60R18 tires. Can't complain about wear but they sure are loud. I will be replacing them this summer. Any suggestions on good quality, quieter hiway tires? This is a daily driver not a rock crawler.
Thanks.

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

The Goodyear Wrangler SR-A is an all season highway tread and you already have the P designation. I don't know that you are going to find anything much quieter than that. I'd certainly recommend reading reviews closely on anything you are considering to see how they may compare.

Staying in the Goodyear family I would consider the Fortitude HT.Tread is straighter and not as blocky as the SRA.Many other options out there. One I sell a lot of is the Hercules Terra Trac Cross V.Private label company that pays Cooper to build their tires.

Make sure your tires are being rotated properly as well. Not just front to back on the same side of the vehicle.Cupped tires are noisy tires.

I'd looked into the SR-A for my 300 a few years ago and wasn't impressed. For that car I went with Michelin MXM4 and been happy with that choice.

The wife's Durango Citadel came with Goodyear Fortera® HL, those tires went 50,000 miles. I looked at those and Michelin Defender, decided the Michelin was the better, longer wearing tire but proportionally higher priced. Since we're headed into retirement the higher wear rating of the Michelin seemed irrelevant so we went back with the Goodyear Fortera® HL for a second round. Our usage is primarily urban commuting and the occasional road trip. Virtually no inclement weather for us, these tires have been fine for our use.

Normally we buy at Discount Tire, but the mopar dealers have been offering buy three get the fourth free pretty much on a yearly basis the last few years. We can get the same tire at the dealer and an alignment and still save money over Discount Tire. 2¢
