I agree. He may not remember, but some years ago I was struggling with my friend's 383 which had loose main bearing shells even after having the block line-honed. Everything measured correctly. He suggested King bearings (if I remember correctly) and it solved the problem. I was able to get my buddy's shortblock built so he could move on with the project.


'67 is an abbreviation of 1967
67' is an abbreviation of 67 feet
They are not interchangeable.

I just found the old post because it was bugging me that I couldn't remember what type of bearings. It was Federal Mogul, not King.
