Too bad about price. I'd be afraid of what the floors and frame look like. How does an air cleaner get that rusty shocked

Gotta love the bungee cord holding up the e-brake pedal and the TP in case you stain the seat cause the steering is shot.

Just a simple scrub with some soap and water would have made a world of difference when putting on market. Price shows seller is very out of touch.

look at it this way...if someone is too damn lazy to even wash and or clean interior of the vehicle they are trying to sell, BEFORE taking any pictures to post....
what do you think is gonna be wrong with that vehicle? I'm willing to bet plenty...shows lack of simple maintenance or potentially much worse. work

You are being kind. I would say the price shows the seller is a complete idiot.

It's a shame because from the looks of the seats, door panels and dash, it could be a legit low miles vehicle that was left out to rot.

It looks like the interior would clean up nice, which is a plus. Most of the time when I see something of that vintage the interior is 100% wasted and needs totally replaced. I think maybe $4500 would be fair for it???

It is not a 78 it is a 79. Lots of rust. Most likely was driven in a salt belt area for a few years to look like that.

Nice interior, rear hatch on passenger side is gone, ripped out fiber. Yes sad , price is way out of line. He'll soon find out its over priced.

Tin grille prices have been on the rise for the last few years but nobody in their right mind would pay anything close to $12k for this thing. This guy obviously priced while surfing ebay with beer googles. Some people try to sell the idea that Traildusters are worth more than RCs because they made less of them but that's just nuts.

I'd call it a 79 or 80 based on hood, steering column, master cylinder, overflow tank, speedo. It has (2) charcoal cans which makes me think Cali emissions but no air pump and don't quote me on that. I've seen extra cans but not entirely sure why the second one is there. Can't really tell but looks like maybe the holley carb instead of the carter which would mean 360 and that's always a plus over the usual 318. AC and SE trim package is nice but those low backs are uber uncomfortable.

Was probably a pretty nice truck before it was parked in the woods for 5 or 10 years. The tail rust is about typical and tells me at least the drivers floor is gone. Drivers door bottom looks crunchy as well. Bungee cord on the ebrake is the least of my concerns. Just means one of the cables rusted through and it's a easy fix. Overall, it looks like the mileage could be legit - drivers seat and steering wheel wood grain - and also looks to be all there and not hacked up so points for that.

Starts, shifts, stops maybe $3k but only if the mirror pivots aren't rusted solid. Pressure wash it, tune it up and it's a great winter beater because these things straight up rock in a blizzard and the ac air box is a much better heater than the non ac box. Assume the ac won't hold a charge and at least another $2-3k for tires, brakes, exhaust, radiator, battery, misc bits. Throw another $6k at the body unless ya can do some of it yerself and yer in $12k for a truck ya might be able to sell for $10k to the right guy.

I would call it a 79. If it was a 80 it would have manual locking hubs. Emission wise looks pretty much standard for federal emission standards in 79. The carb could be a Holley 2280 series which was standard on the 318. The 360 took the older looking Holley 2245 series. The more I look at the poor pictures I agree it does look like the Holley 2245 which would make it a 360. The way it sits with all the rust I would not want to pay much over 2k for it. I just see a lot of work and more once you get into it.
