The thunderstorms over the last few days washed out a milk bottle from Stambaugh's Dairies in Carlisle, PA.

I have found a few embossed bottles here so far, but this is the first one from Carlisle.

Great find. That comes form the days when milkmen delivered fresh into the milk box by the side door. Insulated box had two doors one from the outside and one on the inside and even kept ice cream cold. Our milkman brought milk. ice cream. butter and eggs fresh twice a week.

This is rather enlightening, just think how elated those 50 years in the future will be, when they find all our unburied treasures in our landfills when they become seashore property.

The AlGore promised I'd have Bay or Ocean Front property years ago... still waiting.
And I might add, very disappointed.
