I was just watching some of those crazy fast and out of control rotary cars down under. Talk about out of control handling cars there must be a lot going on in the car I wish there was some in car footage. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N2mp9d9Enng

Back in 1996 I helped build a Rotary Pickup. He were running the 1308cc and 20 PSI boost from 2 turbos. His pickup ran like that. Shifted at 11,000 RPM using a T-5 and 4.56:1 8 3/4 Spool Mopar rear end.
Too narrow and too short. He had a huge issue with his 60 foot times, they were 67 feet when his slicks crossed as his fronts were still 2 feet up.

Looks like a great place to be a body guy. shock

Do those rotaries make lots of torque? They all seem to be really twisting the car up. runaway

Way back in the mid 70's Toyota fought with SCCA over the cc ratings of the RX2, RX3 1.1 liter. They claimed it was closer to a 1700 cc.

With 6 sides of a rotor firing every 360 degree rotation it was like a 12 cylinder firing in its 720 degrees.

Yes when supercharged they do put out a lot of torque.
