Hey Guys I got my new Strange S60 rear end mounted and fitted in my car. I wanted to ask generally how much shorter Driveshaft do you need changing from a 8.75 to a dana ? I keep getting around 1" difference but don't want to make a mistake when ordering a new one. Thanks , " side note my new Dana looks Badazz under my car. " LOL

Since you have the rear end in the car why not just use a tape measure to tell you how long the driveshaft should be?

Or put the old shaft in, bottom it into the trans, and measure the diff end.
Just be sure to allow for the new shaft to NOT bottom out in the trans.

I did and it came up with about an inch difference , but was just wondering if anybody had ever had an exact number from Mopar .

I'd believe the tape measure over any information sourced from the internet.

Go to Doctordiff's website or Strange's site and measure like they say and it will come out perfect. They both have a great deal on a CM drive shaft that will fit perfect and not break the bank.

Do exactly this....I just did and Cass gets you the right one based on you taking two easy measurements. Length of the trans output shaft and the face of the trans to the face of the yoke. Easy and done... 1 week later you’re installing it.

I measure for driveshaft length(center to center) by putting a tranny yoke exactly like I'm going to be using and shove it in the tranny all the way and pull it out 3/4inch and then measure from the center of the U joint holes in both the tranny and pinion yoke with the cars weight on the wheels or up on jack stands so the suspension is loaded like it will be on the ground up scope

I ordered a CM shaft w. billet trans yoke from Strange and used their measuring guidelines. Been a few years, but the price for everything was reasonable...well, back then.

https://www.strangeengineering.net/forms/driveshaft-order-form/

If you plan on using the same yoke....

""DRIVESHAFT ONLY – NO TRANSMISSION YOKE: Push the transmission yoke all the way in until it bottoms, pull it out 7/8” and measure center to center. This is the ”C” dimension. If you are not using all 1350 series yokes, supply the “D” and “E” from any that are not and note which end they belong.* Your transmission yoke will need to be sent-in to properly balance the driveshaft.""
