That does not sound like a TF-2 kit?
Does the valve body have the extra part throttle kickdown assembly?

I din't recall theTF-2 using a shift valve blocker rod, and uses a different pressure regulator spring with a washer with an edge missing. This is how the newer TF-2 kits come.
I know the old TF-2 kits were a bit different?

I think you have it all out of wack trying to raise the shift points. You do that by changing the weights in the Governor not by messing with the pressures and throttle pressure linkage.

Put everything back exactly the way transgo said to do it, don't improvise. Do not mix parts or instructions between different kits or stages of kits. Don't presume that you or a Chevy buddy know how to do it better than transgo.

Does your trans have the proper servo for part throttle kickdown and is the transgo kit compatible with part throttle kickdown? I don't know about transgos kit but The kit that Mopar used to sell eliminated part throttle kickdown.
Is the throttle pressure linkage properly adjusted or are you improperly trying to raise shift points with this adjustment?

Unfortunately if you continue down this road I predict total transmission failure in your near future.

Note: If I have made incorrect assumptions about what you are doing or you are offended in any way then I am sorry and you can feel free to disregard this post.

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

Did you install the Transgo black spring in the PTK module? That spring lowers the road speed at which PTK is locked out.

Part throttle kickdown will function with either front servo.

You have to realize that some of the TF-2 mods can have unintended consequences for some users. For example, if you shortened the throttle valve, WOT kickdown might not kickdown if the linkage adjustment is iffy.

My oft-repeated advice, make sure that WOT in the engine compartment is WOT at the pedal; have somebody sit in the car and floor the throttle then, from under the hood, push back on the carb lever to make sure it's actually wide open and make sure the trans linkage is close to full back.

hi

with this kit shift rpm is determined by how far the throttle rod moves the valve .

sooo havent adjusted it full back as i was trying to get ptk working , it was full back before kit install, and still no ptk , and shift points were 4600

with it full back now kit claim is 7000 rpm shifts ! i can adjust it some more but dont need more than 5800- 6000 rpm . 5200 now

You're saying the Transgo TF-2 kit claims 7000 rpm upshifts? Must be something new.
