Let go, Man, just let go.

I just installed Fram number 4 hundred and something on one of the personal vehicles with over 100,000 miles on it and zero issues. 319,000 miles on the money-maker with an "orange can of death" and it's still...........making Me money.

Have not "bulged a canister", or "lost oil pressure", or turned a muffler bearing yet.

On a side note, I calculated I've saved $10,210.00 by doing my own oil changes, running Fram filters and buying Exxon Mobil in bulk. twocents twocents twocents twocents wink

On ANOTHER side note, has anyone seen what a Fram CA332 goes for these days? whistling

Costco 48 pack would last a few years.

Just remember, this can and TP roll will not support full flow even with a Low Volume oil pump. Not a race car system but on your Puller engine that you want to get 450,000 miles out of, a VERY good idea.

Like in this Amsoil kit.

I teach at a tech college. We had our tech assistant cut apart a bunch(10-12)of different filters. EVERY filter we cut apart was built a LOT better than the cheap Frams....Every one! I buy filters at Walmart(that and Mobil 1 is the ONLY reason to enter that shithole) I buy Motorcraft filters for pennies more than the Fram......after seeing what's inside both,I'll spend the pennies.

Back in '84 my first car was a '68 Dart and it had one of those tp filters on it.

The slanty was seized solid, coincidence? Don't know how long it took to do the damage, but the filter looked like it had been on there quite awhile.

Geez, I had all but forgotten about this until I saw this thread. wrench

Do you people not understand humor? Do you really think Doc was saying use this gizmo. Some of you need to learn to lighten up.

Oh, I understood the humor in this post... Not so much the PH8a thread.....

But if anyone has one of these and wants to send it to me, I'll pay something for your time and postage.

4 years ago on Copart auction I bid and won a 'Run and Starts' crashed Dodge D2500 CTD what had a lot of aftermarket parts including a Frantz Bypass filter. I went and LOOKED at the truck 2 weeks before auction day. When I went to pick it up all the top aftermarket parts were missing. Needless to say, the truck did not go home with me.

Ya know, I've never understood the Fram bashing. Ya can't swing a dead cat on the internet without hitting a thread about slicing up oil filters and being told that Fram is crap. I've been running them since the 80s with exactly one problem. Some how I got one that slipped past QC with no threads in the base plate.
