Anyone know the breakdown of the different colors? Which color for which bulb? 70 Challenger if that matters. Picture came from one of burdar’s posts (thanks BTW😀)

My RH buckets still have paint traces.

RH Hi-Lo - Black
RH Hi - Blue

LH Hi-Lo - ?
LH Hi - ?

On my 73...

low beam (outer) passengers side...black
high beam (inner) passengers side...blue
low beam (outer) drivers side...red
high beam (inner) drivers side...orange

Also, the paint marking should be sprayed on. Brushing on the paint was a mistake I made.

If anyone saved the pictures of Dave Walden's Challenger, I know there was a picture that showed the colors. I THINK they were in the same location on the car as mine.

Looks like Chrysler used that color system for a while. On my 68 Road Runner, the headlight buckets used the exact same color marking scheme. The only difference was that my markings were on the back side. These are the original markings as found. Low mileage, garage stored vehicle.

This paint thing is new to me, the buckets I've seen have lettering.

Do you mean the stamped numbers? I think they had both. My guess is the paint was for easy ID on the assembly line.
