I need a master cylinder for my 69,,, is there any difference between disk and drum? I got a disk kit from DR Diff I'm going to install later this summer.. Some of the books I'm reading shows no difference between disk and drum.. some do.. The master cylinder I have now has the clip for the lid.. Which I like... Is that a later model? I see the 69 is showing the bolted on lid.. So from 66-70 is showing the bolt on lid.. could I go the the later model MC, or stay with the one the book recommends? Thanks for any info.. NAPA shows that don't carryout anymore..

Original 69 B used the Bendix MC, Calipers and disc. Rather hard to come by now a days. The MC as pictured is the Bendix 2226821 casting and has a 1 1/8" bore. Was also used on the 70 B with the KH disc set up. All non hemi as mentioned.

The key is a MC with a reservoir that is larger for the front disc, no residual valve.

You do not say if your using a booster or not, disc came with Booster as part of the package for OEM.

DR D can recommend a MC for his set up. Most likely a smaller bore dia.

If you are trying to keep your eng compartment looking OEM, the Bendix MC are available and can be sent off for rebuild as necessary. I have one if needed.

There are also repoped booster and MC available that are very close to orig, in appearance.

do you know/have any experience on these parts? appearence is secondary to funstion and we all know repop parts are not the best for functionality!

I got a repop one off ebay. I haven't installed it yet. It will be a while, but it looks fantastic. It's on of those things, either they work or they don't. You will know when you try to stop.

No I do not. I have stocked some original spares. What I did to my 70B, when I first got it though, is replaced the Caliper, rotors, MC, and the Metering and Proportioning valves with Part store parts. I have not had any issues. The MC and Rotors are Centrix units. The Caliper are original rebuilt units from normal auto store, the valves Inline. It all works fine. My booster and linkage all original. Proportioning valve and Distribution blocks are rebuildable, but the 70-72 B/E metering valve is not, unless you have the special tool to remove the cap assembly. Besides odd fitting, it was staked. While I know that some may have gotten them apart, not all will come apart because of the years of corrosion etc...
