Me and my friends bought 28 #300 lb hogs the other day, between buying and the expense of bringing them back here we were $150 a piece in to them. My 3 freezers is stuffed with ground pork and some big roasts, gonna smoke a big shoulder for about 16 hours tomorrow. I also have some left over deer and elk roasts so we are good at least till hunting season is over this fall.
I am not causing global warming, I am just trying to hold off a impending Ice Age!

I live in a small town(about 2000) relatively rural. The farmer on the outskirts of town has plenty of meat available.....might not be the cheapest but it's all grown on the farm. Local butcher a couple towns over is swamped with business and advertising a TON of different meat packages.Yet I go into the local super market and the shelves are thin and there's limits on how much you can buy. I don't think there's a meat shortage....more like a shortage of people to process the meat. Look around for a local farmer/butcher...they'll be glad to help out!(plus you'll get better meat)

A friend of a friend had to butcher a couple cows, so we just got a rear quarter (182lbs) for $3.85/lb cut and wrapped. I think we'll be set for a while now
If you ever find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck.
