My wife's brother is the Flight Engineer for this flight. They should be flying very near to our house as they fly from Cleveland to Akron.

I'd love to see a B-2 flyover. We always get a C-130 flyover here in CT. I'm jaded.

Being in Colorado Springs near Peterson AFB, Shreiver AFB, Space Command, and the Air Force Academy, I take it for granted that we regularly get to see a variety of aircraft pass overhead and that seeing these is pretty special for other places. The Thunderbirds are here every year. The MAFFS C-130s are a regular site as they support wildfire fighting, and naturally we get a variety of new and old bombers and other support aircraft for AFA graduations.

I feel the same way about the Goodyear Blimp. The Akron hangar is about 40 minutes south of us, and when the blimp flies to Cleveland for events, it flies directly over our house. People from out of town go nuts when they see it, but for us, it's something that happens several times a year.

Here we see them all the time Some fly so low I think I can see the crew. The base where they are stationed is close by.Thunderbirds also fly over when they have a show there. My buddys farm is even closer like 1 mile from the base. One time one scared the crap out of me.When I used to drink was riding my Harley next to the base and suddenly one was right overhead at like 3 in the AM.Thatgets your blood pumping.Rocky

I grew up near a Naval Air station and spent some time as a fence nerd or whatever disparaging term it was some of the pilots called us guys who hung around by fences near runways and taxiways taking pictures of the planes. There were Marine C130s based there and quite honestly us nerds hardly paid attention to them as we waited patiently for transient F14s, F18s, A6s, F15s and just about every other type of plane the Navy, Marines, Air Force and Coast Guard were flying in the late 80s and early 90s, to take off or land. We even had a squadron of British Jaguar jets that used to stop by every year on their way home after Red Flag as they liked visiting Chicago.
I still get goosebumps thinking of some of the planes I saw there, I don’t think there is anything I’ve witnessed in life that was cooler than an F14 doing an “unrestricted” takeoff, where after breaking ground on their take off, they’d level off about 20 feet above the runway, and fly to the end of the runway gaining speed until the pilot would yank back on the stick and fly near vertical climbing until you couldn’t see the plane anymore in the sky, yet still hear it. A few times a plane kept it down to the fence before pulling vertical and their wake kicked up gravel from the periphery road and damaged cars!
I’d look at my pictures after I’d get them back, and was always amused seeing the “RIO” in the back seat of the plane holding on for dear life to a grab handle mounted on the top of his panel, like someone on a roller coaster ride!
I have thousands of 35 mm pictures I took then, I really need to scan them to digital so I can put them in my Flickr album to share.
I miss those days, now days even seeing a C130 would be interesting I guess.

Speaking of the Goodyear Blimp and fly overs at one of the Chrysler Classic's held at Norwalk the Goodyear Blimp not only did a fly over but with only a few noticing it did a flying quarter mile right over the drag strip. I was watching it and it circled around once and then it lined itself up with the drag strip starting line and as it passed over the start the engines revved and then shut down (or back to normal speed before the run) right as it was over the finish line. A few minutes later the announcer got word of what had just happened and made the announcement. Too funny. I took some photos as it was happening and got a good chuckle out of it.

I found the GY Blimp photos at Norwalk.....back in 2005......don't remember exactly what they put on the electronic billboard but I think it was a greetings and may have said something about the aerial 1/4 mile run?

Two to four of the C130's have been flying near to over our house for the last few years. Think they started in 2017 and show up at least once every couple of months between the months of May through September. They seem to be below the glide path to Cleveland Hopkins airport and coming out of the southeast and appear to be heading to Michigan skirting Lake Erie to maybe Sandusky/Toledo/Detroit?? I was stunned the first time I saw them as they sometimes are even lower than these photos I grabbed from videos I took. You can feel the power of the engines they are that low when they go by. A couple of times they flew right over the house straight up shock
