My oldest brother really liked this one. I preferred the Plymouth Pronto Spyder. Both are still in the Chrysler collection.

Back in the era when Chrysler chose to rebuild everyone elses history instead of their own (32 ford, AC cobra). Those concepts look like British sports cars on steroids. With Carroll Shelby on board, what direction did you really think they were going to go! I was glad to see a rear wheel drive vehicle come out of Chrysler! Call it what you want!

Also, Bob Lutz was heavily involved in these concept cars, including the LH and Viper. One can only imagine what greatness would have become Chrysler if Bad Bob Eaton hadn't gotten the nod by Lido. Bob Lutz took some of his Chrysler designs, modified them, and pitched them to GM, and brought to market the Pontiac Solstice and Saturn Sky. Great cars, wrong divisions, but he was head of both. Great observation. The Sky and Solstice were essentially the Copperhead, right down to the transmission being cribbed from the corporate small pickup.

I remember the blurb on it it one of the chevy biased magazines. I also remember the HUGE disappointment that it was a V6 car. Dodge sat out the 90s in the RWD V8 CAR category. That was disappointing from that era. What was amusing and uplifting from same era was the Viper. I could never afford one but my chevy co workers hatred toward the Viper outrunning the the vette in the 1/4 was my reward. The Viper even ran with (rather outran) the at the time that $65,000 ZR-1 vette with that exotic motor made by Mercruiser. The V10 in the ram having so much more usable power than the 454 and 460. Chevy guys cried foul with that as well.
Keep old mopars alive.

The Sky and Solstice were essentially the Copperhead, right down to the transmission being cribbed from the corporate small pickup. Except it had a 4cyl
