I have a 73 Challenger with manual front disc brakes. I would like to convert them to
power. I can get the booster through our local NAPA. I know I need a new firewall
plate and rod. Will this kit work, or do I need more?

Thanks in advance!!

Jim

that kit should work. looks like all the unique pcs are there. however if buying a new booster I suggest getting one from a late model Cordoba say 79-81, these mount the same way as the challenger ones however you can use a 2 bolt aluminum master cylinder with them.

You definitely need the reinforcement plate. Not sure about the other stuff. Here is my original 73 Challenger booster. The rod is already connected to the back. I can't remember if the rod connects directly to the brake pedal or if it uses another pivot point.

I'm thinking the other part is so I can still use the manual brake pedal?

Thanks,
Jim

That is what you need. The brake pedal is the same one, and that new linkage bolts to the same hole in the pedal arm where your old manual master connected.
