Has anyone used Tri-City plating lately. If so,any problems? Is there anyone else who does excellent chroming.

Oh
I've never used Tri-City but, always heard good things.

I always heard good things about Paul's Chrome Plating in PA too which is who I used for my front bumper. It was about 6 or so years ago though. On my 69 Road Runner bumper, they fixed a small quarter sized dent and a larger, longer dent by the crown of the bumper. It looked like someone ran into something with the bumper. I didn't even notice it until the bumper was off the car. I was originally quoted $975. When I found the larger dent, I called before shipping, they took care of it and the price didn't even change.

I'm very happy with the results. If I can remember correctly, it took around 6 weeks.

Funny thing, I always hear people bad mouth Bumper Boyz but, my rear bumper was done by them around 20 years ago and still looks great to this day.

I have used them and bought from them at the Mopar Nationals for decades. They once had a bumper for a 69 D200 at the Nats, took my core that I couldn't get the brackets off of and shipped them to me in a week! Great company to do business with! The bumper was on my truck for 15 years and still looked great when I sold it.

Haven't used Tri-City, but have used Ogden Plating (Ogden, UT).
It was on a large old grille that a local shop (who charged $800) screwed up
Their work was perfect, but it was expensive at $1100.
Heck, I guess all chrome is expensive now, when I think back to the days of $200 bumpers...

I've got a couple bumpers from Tri-City at the Chrysler Carlisle event and have been happy with them. Can't say the same about Bumper Boyz, their bumpers start to rust the next day.

I love the smell of Deer guts in the morning, it smells like... VICTORY!

My work from tri-city was show quality. Bumpers and bumper guards. Yeah, my bumpers for my charger were $230 with core, those days are long gone. Labrandi here in central PA is good, but very salty...

They did my bumpers for the Dart. They do good work for the price. Great job straightening them before plating. Great customer service. Make sure you tell them that to want your bumpers back not an exchange if yours are real nice. Avoid Bumper Boys.

Excellent. Used them for years. One of the best vendors in the automotive business.

I used Tri-City for my 73 Challenger bumpers and bumper guards. When I got everything back, the bumper guards didn't fit the contour of the bumpers any more. While trying to install them, the chrome cracked. Tri-City re-chromed them for free but they guy on the phone sounded mad. He accused me of over tightening them. Before sending them out I cleaned up the matting surfaces and made sure they fit the bumpers perfectly. When they came back they didn't fit again. I had to modify the matting surfaces again so they fit. I ended up spraying some paint on the edges so they weren't bare metal. I don't know how long that will last.

While trying to get the front bumper aligned I tapped on the edge to push it over to the drivers side. The chrome on the top back edge of the bumper(by the grill) started cracking. At that point I just left it. You can't see the cracks unless you're right down on the bumper looking for it. Still didn't make me very happy though. Maybe all chrome is that brittle today but I wasn't 100% happy with Tri-City

Great outfit! They had a set full set of bumpers for my 70’ Bee a few years ago, met them with my cores at Carlisle and did the swap. New ones were beautiful and fit fine, still looking great on the car! Highly recommend up

Oh yeah, it's a hybrid.....it burns gas and tires!
