He'll supply a bunch (like maybe 8 or 9; not really a bunch) to Jamie, and a few to his close friends.

Every time I go to MATS in las Vegas, John Huff will have about 4-5 to sell right there. No list, no waiting. Must pay right there and take home on the spot.

Who do you go thru for warranty? I think Jamie won't honor the warranty since it was not purchased thru him.

I find it odd that hear all about just he has taken this much time. And and all because everything has to be perfict. Don't want anyone to help get the units out the door. As he is the only person that can do such work. Yet. Ya get the "who is going to do w arrenty work"?
After 10 years. You better be able to do it blindfolded... John may sold it....but who built it???
I also think a lot of praise comes from the fact that the people that got a trans and no longer on "the list" think anyone is going to step up and say. I waited 10 years. Spent a ton of cash on a trans. And say it's a pile of crap?? Few if any wil...if was the case

If that's another way of saying he's a tool, I agree. I talked to him for the first time probably 15 years before the overdrive fiasco, I wasn't even a blip on anyone's Mopar radar. But he treated me like I was a bother, and the next two times I spoke to him were the same way. This whole fiasco just reinforces my thoughts about him. After my first experience, I just bought from people that I shake hands with at every event I see them at. I was ecstatic when I saw I could buy an overdrive from John and not have to deal with Jamie anymore.

It's crazy to me that people will buy a $6,000 trans with a questionable warranty.

I feel that it started out at 4295.00 now 6000.00 plus. That increase of 1700.00. People have been on the list from the beginning (me included). So people that have been on the list for 4295.00 are paying 6000.00 now?

I was on the list, like you, and got my transmission in December, and yes with shipping, tax and trans, $6300. However, I was never promised a transmission at $4295.00, that was the suggested retail price at that time I placed my name on the list.

Jamie gave me the price at the time the transmission and my spot inline came up, along with the option to buy it or not.

Nice!

What a load of horse$hit!

People waiting 10 years on a list and then having to pay a $2,000.00 premium for the privilege while others get it out the back door with no waiting. SMH!

John Huff told me to use Redline Synthetic MT-90 oil. It takes 3.5 QTs to fill.

I have had mine since 2013, Jamie shipped Lucas oil synthetic 75W-140, and that is all I have ever used , have a little over 10000 miles on it now, we had tried 75-90 for a short period of time but they recommended going back to the 75W-140. Did you not receive oil with it ?, and 3 1/2 qts is about right, it will not be to the fill plug unless that has been lowered

I didn't get oil with mine so I asked. I got mine about 7 months ago.
Probably would be good to double check again.

Did some research on the oils and leaves some questions about materials used in the tranny.

Lucas is a GL-5 hypoid gear oil and not designed for transmissions using brass/bronze synchronizers. You will need a GL-4 oil, such as Red Line 50305 MT-90 75W90 if it uses Brass/Bronze synchronizers..

So it seems that it would be dependent on the type of metal used for the synchronizers. Will need to check on this.

Just asked John H about this again.
