I finally got my car to where I wanted it, and decided to take it up to Big 3 racing to make sure the tune was close before the tracks open for the year. Primarily a street car, but it'll see plenty of test and tune nights. A quick rundown on the build. '78 400 block, .040". 440 Source stroker kit with 4.25" ultralight crank with upgraded rod bolts.10.6:1 compression with Trick Flow 240 heads and Cometic gaskets. Scott Brown solid lift cam with Howard's EDM lifters and Hughes 1.5 rockers. Trick Flow Track Heat intake, 950 Thumpercarb, 1&7/8 tti headers with 3" exhuast and Dynomax Ultra-Flows. 3.54 gear with a 30" tall tire. The dyno operator was impressed with the way it ran. Went up on the squirters, tuned the idle circuits, and changed plugs. Timing is set at 20 degrees initial and 34 total. Afr stayed pretty steady, I don't have the dyno sheet with me right now. I went in hoping to hit 485 at the wheels. It hit 491 at 5500. Almost 570 torque around 3300. It leveled out aroung 5500 and he didn't want to push it any farther because wheel speed was over 130 mph. He said it should really run good if I went to a solid roller, but I think I'm good with it where it is. I set out to hit 600hp with it, and I'm confident I did. Now to reach my next goal, which is to run 11.49/7.35 with a 4-speed and a 3.54 gear. I hope the link works.
1969 Dart GTS 340 1969 Super Bee X9 N-96 1969 Coronet R/T X9 N-96 2015 Dodge Dart GT 2019 Ram 2500 Big Horn. Looking for the original block for my Bee. The last 4 are 7449

Sounds like a very good combo!
I run a similar setup right down to the Ultraflows and 3.54 rear gear. The only difference is mine is packaged in an RB block. I'm really pleased with it.
'63 Dodge 330 11.19 @ 121 mph Pump gas, n/a, through the mufflers on street tires with 3.54's. 3,600 lbs. 10.01 @ 133mph with a 250 shot of nitrous an a splash of race gas. 1.36 60 ft. 3,700 lbs.

Thanks man! I love your car, and I love the streetability you have with it. Hopefully this summer gets me a lot of miles and a lot of passes. I was planning a top end upgrade before I took it to spin the rollers, but I think I'm good with where it's at.
For now...

Love the car!
Also really enjoy the chassis dyno testing.
My last dynojet test showed a hair shy of 500 at the wheels, but needed 6200 to get there @ 451ci.
I think it should work great.

Very close to my results. I have a Doug Nash 5 speed in my Coronet so one more gear of shifting but the results were close. My low deck 512 made 485 hp and 520 for torque. That was with a hyd roller cam, pump gas compression and a Holley Sniper. Here is a video of it on the chassis dyno. This was back in 2018. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xG3-_YJGdZ8&feature=youtu.be

For now... Thanks! We did a small town cruise this weekend and had a few locals get frisky and try to take on the 330 with some late model iron. Even with 3 people in my car, they had no chance! Once you get used to that power level you can always add the hose to it for a little more...

I think it should work great. It was kinda fun. I didn't know what to expect. Rick , the owner, is a Mopar guy that got his start working for Nick Wilson at CompuFlow. It was very cool talking with him and trying to learn something from him. I

When Dan and Wayne built the Hemi box for it, they said the same thing. I was pretty impressed with the crank.

Well, and the cam came off your shelf. Lol. I've been researching the Holley Sniper system, and I also talked to Rick at Big 3 racing about upgrading the control box to a programmable box to run my timing curve, since I just bought this carb.

I'm trying to push any changes out of my mind so I can get to work on building a potent small block for my Dart...

Yes, 512 CID. The cam is a .563/.555 lift, duration is 248/258 @.050. It's installed 4 degrees advanced.

15% driveline loss to the wheels makes it 578 bhp.
Very nice!
