Hey gang..

There are certain components during a restoration that I like to clean and keep in its natural metal finish/look. Isn't there a clear protectant product out there that can be applied and remains clear or translucent?

A little expensive and you have to kinda learn how to use it, but it does work.

I use Boeshield T9 too. It's very good.

I too have used T-9 Boeshield and recommend it. Here is another option that I recently purchased, but have not used. It was recommended by some members here on Moparts.org.

Thanks everyone.. I purchased both the RPM and T9 from Boeing ( since I worked on F-16's in the Air Force, this product attracted me and it is an aerosol to get into tight places like the coils of brake lines and parking brake cables )..

I would like to try those aerosol products. The RPM is a bit of a pain to use on some stuff.

I have used all 3 of the above.
RPM does work, but tedious to apply. Sadly my driveshaft is now rusting after 2 seasons, so I guess i need to redo that again.
T9 works best if you do several light coats and let dry between. A slight bit of heat helps dry quicker.
Fluidfilm is great on a daily driver, but may not be best on a show car. It never really dries (the intention) and can collect dirt. It works best when applied in a heavy coat, but is messy.
