this has been brought up many many times..... I am on several forums. All for a different reason, all give something the others don't.
but WHY in the He!! is this THE ONLY FORUM that I come to with this damn Interfering Infolinks? the ONLY one! Why can't (or won't) the management of MOPARTS do something to be RID of it from within????

Something has to pay for all this site. This site has always been free because of that. Just download the adblocker plus and you won't have any more problems.

Plenty of free site out there that don't use it.

Not getting anything more here than I am elsewhere without the issue at hand.

Of course with ad blocker you're cheating the system and at some point infolinks will figure out how to block adblocker.

precisely. How much does it cost to run this site? or are people wanting to pay personal bills from income?

I would think the vendor advertisements would cover the cost, and I make a point to let them know I came to them from the ad here, and my user name. My wife is in advertising so I know the value of feedback to vendors.

There are already plenty of ads here that are pertinent to the Mopar hobby, accessible to see, that do not interfere with seeing/using this forum. Those are fine. But when Infolink pops up and blocks my view of the forum and interferes with my responding to posts within that is too much interference. We users shouldn't have to use ad block or anything else, to be able to come here without having that problem.simple as that. If the ads in Infolink were applicable to what we come to the forum for in the first place, it would be less aggravating, but that is not to say that I would be ok with Infolink if that was the case

Not trying to be a jerk but maybe see if Forum owner Tom (Moparts) will do a 'Pay Wall' membership where you must pay annual to stay?
Forums are not hosted 100% free. Two ways for a forum owner to pay, Advert pop ups or Pay Wall.

A cheap BA$TARD like me will not do a Pay Wall so I'd be out, along with 75% + of most members on here.

I would pay for no advertisements but I would want a paid members forum that has less censorship.
Freedom to post about 2A and politics. No complaints now since it is free.

Does anyone here run AdBlock plus on Microsoft edge? Does it work well? If it does can you post a link where to get it?

I find it interesting how the pop-up ads know what I've been interested in and it kind of makes me want to put my tin foil hat on. I was looking at fuel filters a while back now I'm seeing ads about firearm silencers disguised as fuel filters which is ironic since we cant discuss firearms on this site laugh2

Anyway everyone needs to make a living and if Tom is making a living on this wonderful site then what's the problem shruggy

I doubt Tom is making much if any money off Adverts, it pays the forum costs.

I could be wrong but when I was running a Suzuki Motorcycle forum, in a years time the revenue from the popup adverts put about $200 in my pocket after all fees were paid to the site hosts and a web designer to keep the forum safe and up to date. WOW, I made $200 a year and paid $25 in taxes on it.
