My dashboard inner structure is crumbled on my 99 1500. If I build a custom dash and use aftermarket gauges how will that effect the ECM if by not having the factory instrument cluster plugged in? Or will it have no effect on the truck running properly? If it wont work that way then I will need to find away to mount the factory instrument cluster. Open for suggestions.

Why not replace the inner structure? They run about $500 but they hold all the dash stuff like heater and a/c controls and glove box and radio Etc. Not just the gauge cluster

I can not find a good inner structure in AZ . The heat makes the plastic brittle.

Hey Chuckles!! I just redid my 01 with a LMC dash. I used a soldering gun and gorilla glue to get my substructure up to par. I understand Permatex make a better epoxy. The LMC will be $330 to your door. Nice piece!
