Are you guys disinfecting your cash? With talk about these checks coming in and banks not having the cash on hand it got me thinking. We have been using my wife's CPAP cleaner machine to clean our N95 masks, cash, and phones etc. Are you guys worried about touching currency?

I haven't taken cash from outside the house since this started, only gave a little out. What's in my pocket and house has been with me for months.

If I do get some in, i will just put it aside for a while

ACE Hardware here is now only taking plastic as payment. I just got back from Home Depot and they are still accepting cash.

As someone who has had their card compromised in the past I don't use it unless i have to. I always have $40.00 or so on me.

Having some cash on hand is always important. If things go bad it will be real important, at least for awhile. Hell, even a garage sale item you are not expecting to come across will make you wish you had cash.

I have been spraying my money with germicidal disinfectant spray every time money changes hands. I wear latex gloves, and an N95 mask anytime I go into a store, and use plenty of alcohol based sanitizer.

My rainy day cash has been in my sock drawer for months, so I’m sure it is safe. When I get new cash from an outside source, I put it in a box until this is over.

We had to pay cash coming here on the WV turnpike. 3 toll plazas at $4 each. I wore gloves and just threw the bills in the door pocket where they remain to this day. It's been a month so they are probably safe. Haven't touched any other cash than that.

I don't leave the house unless I have 3x that in my wallet. Can't tell you how many times I've been out and tried to use a card and have the business say "sorry our card reader is down". Happened at our local pub(back when we could get in) I paid my tab in cash, the guy in front of me headed to the ATM and payed someone a fee to access his own money realcrazy

i haven't gotten or paid cash in at least 1 month also.
i do have about $100 in my pocket though.
as far as getting paid in cash. i get paid in direct deposit. i haven't stepped inside a bank lobby in about 6 months before the lock down.
