TBH, I kinda like it.

I like it too. I wouldn't buy one but it's pretty cool.

It needs a couple of seats in the bed with grab handles.

In a lot of states its illegal to carry people in the bed unless they have seat belts

My sister in law had a Brat with the seats in back.. she loved that old truck till it got totaled

So the real reason the Brat had seats in the back was to avoid the chicken tax on imported small trucks. I think the intent was buyers would remove and chuck the rear seats. Though growing up,I saw many of them with seats still in place. The chicken tax was a set of tariffs on various foods and light trucks from Europe. Most of the restrictions were lifted except the light truck tax. Most manufacturers worked around it by importing incomplete vehicles and final assembly here, or classifying them as passenger vehicles and installing cheap throw away seats.

I never rode in one, but they always looked like a simple, easy (but not painless) way to kill yourself.

My sentiments exactly ...

Reasons: 1. Couldn't afford it, until it had pretty much aged out, even a v6 one would likely be $40k plus

I miss my 1st gen Dakota 5.2, my '87 Toyota pickup, etc. I don't need a pu that I need a ladder to get into, either the cab or the bed.

A first gen Dakota with a 3.6 and 8 spd, that would get my attention.

With that face, and that rear, if that car was a stripper, it would be working the 8am-noon shift on Tuesdays.

But last I knew this new Rampage was disco'ed due to PC issues. Too many school rampages makes some upset with the name.
