This happened last year when I was trying to straighten out the mess that was under the dash of my 70 Cuda. While removing an after-market radio with a "bird's nest" of wires going to extra speakers and an equalizer, an IBM card dropped down to the driver's side floor pan. I have seen pictures of Build cards and QC cards, but not anything that resembled a time card. At first, I thought it was stuffed under there by the previous owner. In other words, a time card from his work place. But after close examination with a magnifying glass, I could see the letters "CHR_S_E".

Has anyone seen a card like this one?

Back in the day we say all kinds of papers. They all went in the trash.

I found something similar in my survivor A12 4spd Bee. It was under the passenger-side bench seat post on the floor board under the carpet. It actually has the digits sporadically punched-out throughout the IBM card signifying what I thought were options (dealer info etc.) Its in rough shape. Galen looked at it during his visual and said its an Official Chrysler IBM card. It actually has math calculations written on the back too in pencil. It's been awhile since I pulled it out as it's very brittle.

Cool to see, unused with no punch outs, yet it has contact cement sprayed on the back.

Sure looks like it was something being phased out. In college learning fortran and cobal those cards were common. Hard telling what it was used for by chrysler.

Intended purpose for this card was payroll.

Look at the third image at the bottom right. Looks like revision date of 11-64.
Plus it says Hours Data Card Salary in the same image to the left.

FORTRAN and COBOL, took those classes back in 70-72, along with RPG. Long time ago.

These cards were in the headliner of my 70+ 6 Cuda

So what is the technical term for this card with my original owners manual in my 6 pack Challenger.
I always called it the IBM card and thought all glove box owners manuals had the original one to the car.

This, a WAG, the 1/3 and 6Pac was in the car to make sure the car gor special notice.Guessing - in the morning there would be a meeting and workers were told of any special cars to watch for, the cards identified them. I'm guessing 1/3, 2/3 and 3/3 were placed with 3 corresponding 6 Pac cars built that day by the line.

The cards were called punch cards. I can imagine one would have to have the program chrysler used to actually "run the program".
Back in the day (until mid 70's) the cards were punched and a stack was run through a machine that performed computations. The card you have, WAG, seems to perhaps include coding that output broadcast sheets, or, I wonder if dealers had "readers" which the glove box card could be run to get a list of part numbers for anything used on the car?
