I have been wanting to upgrade my alternator to a Denso type for several years and even have an AR Engineering bracket kit sitting in my garage. But the AR kit specifies it for a 1985-1991 Denso alternator with an internal regulator. I don't want to get into my wiring to remove the regulator, which would also leave holes in my engine compartment. Doe anyone know of a Denso alternator that uses the same alternator case but is set up for an external alternator? Or can I just leave my regulator in place and "bypassed" somehow?
Some see the glass as half empty, some see the glass as half full. I just drink straight out of the bottle.

Thanks for the advice guys. I guess I'll ditch the voltage regulator. I don't like working on wiring but I guess it can't be that bad.
