I bought one of these with the windage tray built in from Mancini. In looking around at other vendors, their adds state that it only works on pan with flat rails and not the stock dimpled pans. Anyone use one dry like they suggest on a stock pan? I bolted it up and it appears that it is a questionable seal because of the dimples. I hate to put rtv on it. Kind of defeats the purpose.

Didn't work for us with a dimpled pan, we assembled dry like they said.

The raised ridges on the windage tray didn't align well with the pan dimples.

This was about 4 years ago so they may have changed the design.

Not what wanted to hear, but that’s what I’m afraid of. That’s what I’m seeing too. They sold me the wrong pickup for the 70 hemi pan as well. They sent me a 5 quart pickup. I call them about it and he said he had been selling that pickup with the hemi pan for years. I have an NOS pickup and know what the correct one looks like and exactly how to determine the proper placement from the bottom of the pan. After he figured out that I knew what I was talking about, he admitted that mopar does not make the correct pickup anymore and that’s the best he had. Oh well back to two regular gaskets.

Fill the dimples with epoxy or quick steel. Just make sure pan rail is nice and flat.
